The sitting room is spacious, with big comfy sofas, a modern gas fire and coffee table; a dining table and chairs, contemporary artwork and good lighting. A TV with freeview is also included.
There are four study bedrooms, all of which are furnished with students’ needs in mind. Each room includes excellent clothes storage, single or double beds; large desks and shelves for all of those text books!
There is a large outhouse in the very private back garden – perfect if you have a bike, or just lots of boxes/trunks! There is also patio furniture just in case you fancy a barbeque in the summer!
All Complete Student Homes properties include broadband compliance, and the services of our maintenance manager and his team (including a gardener) as standard. The house also fully adheres to the DSU Code of Standards.
"Many agents will charge you a fee for finding you a house. They'll also charge you a fee for checking your references, for running a credit check against you, even for printing off a copy of their standard contract for you to examine. These fees can mount up very quickly. For a bigger house in Durham you could be looking at fees of hundreds of pounds and even for smaller houses you could be looking at fees of £100 or more. Why pay fees of hundreds of pounds?" DSU Accommodation Office.
Studenthomezone charge no such fees!
We require the deposit to be paid at the time of exchange of the lease. We will also require a completed standing order or posted dated cheques in our favour to cover the period of the lease. We have a very large inventory in the properties and therefore charge a realistic deposit but your money is protected by law and registered with Tenancy Deposit Solutions.
We normally arrange a pre-surrender inspection about 3 weeks before the end of the lease and go through what is missing based on the inventory we do when you move in. We prefer that anything broken is replaced rather than deduct money from the deposit but we give you plenty of time to do this. Remember, you are dealing with local landlords not faceless institutions; we will help you in any way we can and, unlike estate agents, we do not charge a signing on fee or key money.
